Little Drops

The concept supporting this project was formulated in an attempt to create a sense of belonging to the inhabitants, a place where they can live in familiarity with one another, a sanctuary. Courtyards are the major design feature of this home and they act as buffer spaces that separate the corridors from the peaceful resting spaces. The zoning is done in such a way that the doctors, staff and the residents are exposed to greenery and pause points wherever they are. Major circulation corridors are also designed in such a way that they are perpendicular to a courtyard on one or either side, thus signifying simple wayfinding.
