TROE- The Bookshelf

The design for this bookshelf is conceived primarily on the idea of maximum storage space by celebrating the horizontal lines and planes that compose its basic design function. The brass finished prism bracket makes for the signature aesthetic and the larger design idea is that it would eventually allow for the books to become the primary visual focus. In keeping with the design language, the brass detailing continues in the knobs on the drawer and the footrest as well. This bookshelf becomes a complimentary aesthetic addition to the interior space of the old 70’s home. Made out of OST panels with a rich teak wood finish and nosing that follows a the joinery of the home. The brackets are designed to take up minimal shelf space, support its weight and also act as dividers.
